I am preparing for an interview and I got a bunch of sample questions to answer. My question is how do I answer the question, "how do you contribute positively towards this organization"? This interview question is for National Honor Society and yes, at my school there is an interview to get into National Honor Society.

Hi A,

A good question indeed. You can answer it according to firm's values and linking those to your past experiences and related contributions. Describe your job-specific useful skills and how your skills fit with this specific company. You can also tell your personal approach will play to the advantage of the company.

Supply your answer with some data and concrete examples.

Best,

Andre

Hello!

I would try to answer "what is my unique value proposition to you, i.e., how can I contribute".

Read their mission & vission + values (McK calls them directly McK Values, Amazon calls them Leadership Principals, etc.) and try to align your answer to that. If you align with that, your chances of giving a "good" answer increase a lot.

Best regards,

Clara
