Hi guys,

I was told interview day would be tomorrow some 2 weeks ago. I sent a mail some days ago to re-confirm, and possibly get a time slot.

I am yet to get a response, and sort of assuming it probably has been rescheduled. Is this normal?

I was thinking not to spam and ask again, as surely HR would have a timeline they are working with. What would you advise I do?

You are being careful and also persistent. If you do not hear back email them again later this week. Preferably by replying to the original email so they can see why you have emailed them again.

Hi there,

This is not normal and not very inspiring on their part.

However, these things happen. HR is also human and they make mistakes. So it's likely that they were overwhelmed and forgot about the application or it sort of fell through the cracks. Unless you didn't do that already, I'd reach out to ask for an update and to restate your excitement for the recruitment process.

Best of luck!
Cristian

Hi there,

it is possible, agendas of interviewers are extremally packed and their 1st priority is client, hence any change on that side will impact other responsibilities.

Hello!

That is indeed frustrating, but the only thing you can do at this point is reaching out to HR until they clear the situation.

Fingers crossed for you!

Cheers,

Clara

Hi Jake,

Unfortunately this is all too common!

You've done the right thing by following up a few days ago but also not spamming.

I would reach out early next week. Try to send a message to a few contacts at the firm. Be ‘positive" in the sense that you’re simply saying something must have been missed slash you're just trying to make sure nothing is needed from your end to move forward.

Be patient, the offices are likely swamped (and, frankly, inefficient). You'll get an interview soon enough!

Hi Jake,

If they haven’t confirmed the timeslot, the interview has been postponed almost for sure.

I would call HR to verify the exact timeline at your earliest convenience.

Good luck!

Hey there,

Super unfortunate situation and I had similar things happen with several of my coachees recently. Very strange…

My advice would be to call the recruiter directly. If no one picks up, call the front desk of the office you have applied to. The numbers are usually on Google Maps for each office.

All the best,

Florian
