Hello everyone,

from what I have seen through my searches several people have previously asked about certain in-house consulting firms in Germany but very few have gotten any replies. I wanted to write a more general post to ask about it-does anyone have any insight into applying/working for in-house firms such as Siemens, Lufthansa, DHL, Bayer, Commerz Business Consulting (from Commerzbank), etc.

Or can anyone suggest more firms which have in-house consultancies?

I know some firms, such as Siemens, now do a lot of external work as well and their consultants also do the 4 day per week travel. Are most in-house consultants based in their office city most of the time, or is it often the same as working for an MBB or 2nd tier when the travel is 4 days per week?

Any information is helpful. Thank you.

Hey,

I have worked with Bayer Consulting in the case of a university project and my experience was that they were also often traveling but only to Bayer locations. Nevertheless, I would say that they are less traveling than MBB or other external consultancies. However, as you have mentioned it depends also on the inhouse consulting company, as SMC consultants travel a lot.

Other inhouse consultancies I know are i.a. Telekom, E.ON, Volkswagen, Porsche, Allianz, DB and Mercedes-Benz.

I hope this helps a bit.

Best
