First question/information to ask in Growth Case and Market Entry Case?

After walking through the framework of a Growth case or Market Entry case, in terms of identifying which market to grow, what should be the information we ask?

Growth:

"May I know if we have any information about the existing markets we are currently operating in?" 

if growing in existing market is not enough, what should be asked next? 

Market entry

"May I know if the client has already shortlisted some potential market for us to analyse? or if the client needs us to do the research to identify the potential market?"

if the client needs us to identify without having any market information, then I will use PESTLE framework to identify a few.

Does the above sound reasonable?

Hi there,

You're being a bit too generic and not specific enough. "Any information about the existing markets" is too broad.

Rather, you need to tailore your questions to the case! If they sell many products, ask for a product breakdown. If they sell across many countries, ask for a country breakdown. If there are a lot of competitors, ask about them.

I'm sorry, but there is not a formulaic approach here - that is why casing is a true test! You have to take the case prompt + industry itself, and the information you've been provided, and think about the highest level but specific question that will drive you in the right direction.
