Hi People,

I want to start case partnering and was wandering how should I prepare to be a interviewer to offer somebody a case?

Do I take any case from case library or the case partner will ask which case he/she wants to practice?

Hi Anonymous A,

welcome to PrepLounge and thank you for asking your question on our Consulting Q&A!

When you schedule a meeting with somebody, you will have a back-to-back meeting which means you will both be given (interviewee), and give a case (interviewer).

As an interviewee you should do some foundational study e.g. go through our case interview BootCamp. Ideally as an interviewer, you pick a case from our Case Library that you have already solved and are familiar with.

If you accept a meeting from the meeting board, the case will be randomly selected. Once the meeting is scheduled, both you and your partner will have the possibility to change the selected cases in the meeting room. You can communicate with your case partner and discuss which case you would like to solve.

I hope this answers your questions.

If you have any other doubts, don't hesitate to ask!

Good luck for your case prep!

Astrid
