I am happy to share some insights about our culture, including some specific examples for “the ECON experience” and the way we work at ECON.

First of all, let me share some insights about our culture at ECON. One main pillow is our vivid feedback culture – upward and downward feedback. That means you get regular, detailed and constructive feedback from seniors to help you grow, but at the same time you also provide upward feedback to actively shape ECON and the way we work. This is something I really like and learned to appreciate a lot!

Also, it is not the typical “work-only” relationship with my colleagues. We normally also do lots of activities on the weekends together or after work (e.g. BBQs at the Rhein, sports, going out and having fun =) – during Corona this is a bit of a challenge but we have kind of adapted to it and meet virtually)

Second, I want to quickly touch base on how we work at ECON and which benefits come with it.

During one of my first projects at ECON I had the opportunity to work on a digital platform for customers to enhance their heating experience. The project set-up was completely agile and we were collaborating with our developers and our scrum master very closely, which was a lot of fun, since it was a completely new experience for me. It also offered me the opportunity to actively shape the new, digitized energy world, which was pretty awesome =)!

Last but not least I want to give some examples for useful benefits at ECON. My favorite one is the in-house gym at the Essen HQ, which all employees can use for free. Also, the in-house laundry service comes in very handy when you are on a travel project. Regarding food and drinks: there is a barista which will create your favorite coffee, and the canteen offers a fit-line and a salat bar next to the regular offerings.
