I am considering buying cases from Harvard Business School Publsihing. Are they worth it to read for case interview preparation or should I spend time on anything else (eg practicing case interviews)?

Hi,
in my opinion, HBS cases are excellent resources to have discussions during classes (e.g. for MBA), but are not very valuable in the context of case interviews. If you want to go beyond the simple case interview preparation to have a more comprehensive understanding (so called "business judgement") of economic context -so to be able to have a chat which goes beyond the rigid case structure (it may happen, especially with senior partners)- I think reading newspapers (both economic and non-economic ones) and be curious to know what happens around the world is more effective than reading HBS cases.
Best
