Ask for Costs and Revenues

Hi!

Often in a case you encounter a situation where you have to ask for the costs or revenues. What is the best approach for doing this? Is it ok to just ask right out: Do you have any information about the cost/revenue breakdown? Or is it better to suggest possible cost/revenue streams in a way like: In this case I believe that labor costs, office rental, equipment, and marketing costs are the most essential cost streams, do you have any information about these and other possible costs?

If you're halfway sure, you should always propose what you can identify in costs and then ask whether you've missed anything relevant. If you have no clue at all, ask for the breakdown. Maybe you'll get away with it :-)
