Hi,

Can someone please share their experience going through the interview process at Accenture Strategy Middle East:

1. What to expect in terms of FIT questions (i.e. basic walk me through your CV, why consulting, why Accenture or precise PEI questions?

2. What to expect in terms of Case interview (i.e. how many rounds, what type of cases, level of difficulty etc).

Thanks for your help in advance! Really appreciate it!

Hi there,

1. What to expect in terms of FIT questions (i.e. basic walk me through your CV, why consulting, why Accenture or precise PEI questions?

Nothing. And Everything.

Please don't fall into this trap…everyone tries to figure out what x company in x region asks. That fact of the matter is that Partner A at Bain NYC can ask the exact same question as a Project Lead a Accenture Japan. And, Partner A at Bain NYC could ask completely different questions than Partner B at Bain NYC.

Be prepared to answer any question. Train yourself in being flexible/adaptable, rather than trying to predict x set outcome.

What does this mean?

  1. Have the 3 Whys prepared: https://www.preplounge.com/en/articles/tell-me-about-yourself-interview-question
  2. Have a range of personal stories prepared that you've practice being flexible in
  3. Practice getting “random” questions like “Explain Nuclear energy to my 7 year old daughter” or “Where do you see yourself in 5 years” or “What was your favourite course/class and why?”

2. What to expect in terms of Case interview (i.e. how many rounds, what type of cases, level of difficulty etc).

Same answer as above.

You should expect both fit + case. You should expect any type of case (within candidate-led) AND any level of difficulty.

Please train yourself in having an objective-driven MECE approach to solving all questions!

Hi there,

My strong recommendation would be to first of all ask HR/the recruiter for the format of the interview. They have the responsibility of telling you what to expect (without obviously telling you the questions) so that you can best prepare.

On a high-level you can expect to receive a few personal fit questions, describing your experience and skills through particular work experiences you've had, and in the case it's most likely going to be a candidate-led case that could be pulled from any industry scenario. There are usually two rounds, but this differs between roles and geography.

Best,
Cristian

Hi there,

This is indeed an interesting question which is probably relevant for a lot of users, thus I am happy to provide my perspective on it:

  • Depending on the particular function and location of the office you are applying to, Accenture Strategy's Middle Eastern interview procedure may change. But generally speaking, you may anticipate going through several rounds of interviews, which might involve fit and case interviews. As such, I would highly advice you to reach out to the recruiting department for the specificities of your interviews.
  • In terms of fit interviews, you may anticipate being questioned about a variety of topics, including your education, professional background, and transferable abilities. You may also be asked why you want to pursue a career in consulting and why Accenture Strategy specifically. These inquiries could range from straightforward "walk me through your CV" inquiries to more focused inquiries about your professional objectives, pertinent experiences, and your compatibility with Accenture Strategy's culture and values.
  • In case interviews, you may anticipate being presented with a business problem or scenario to assess and resolve, usually in a group environment. These instances could involve a range of subjects and sectors, and their degrees of difficulty could vary. Depending on the particular position you're going for and the company you're interviewing with, you might have to go through a certain number of case interview rounds.

In case you want a more detailed discussion on what to do in your specific situation, please feel free to contact me directly.

Best,

Hagen

Hello,

While I don't have personal experience of interviewing with Accenture Strategy Middle East, the interviewing process should be quite similar to other consulting firms.

For Fit - Motivational questions (why Accenture, why Middle East, etc), Leadership questions (tell me a time when you dealt with a difficult colleague, managed a conflict, dealt with failure, etc), CV questions (walk me through your Resume, biggest achievement, etc)

For Case - I do not know the specifics for accenture here. But typically there are 2 rounds with 2 interviews each in other firms. It might be worth checking with the local HR at Accenture to understand the specifics around this.

All the best!

Rushabh
